Contest Gunflint Lake

Ice anglers looking for lake
trout and the trout derby grand prize Sunday March 1st woke to 20
below temps and bright sunshine. It warmed to about 12 degrees above
zero by noon. There was a trailer full of prizes for club members and
great food and drinks for everyone.
By 1pm anglers had to have
fish checked in and the prize raffle begun. ( I won the really cool
rainbow trout carving seen below, above the lake trout on the board. )
After the trout derby a small
group went to the Red Paddle Bistro @ Gunflint Lodge. Deer were
wondering around the lodge and some of us hand fed the deer.
